# Nosotros commands: hablemos, comamos — 'let's...'

> id: conjugation.imperative.nosotros · category: conjugation · depth: standard · levels: B1 · review: internally_reviewed

**Summary.** 'Let's' commands use the nosotros present subjunctive: hablemos, comamos, salgamos. Exception: vamos (not vayamos) for 'let's go'. Reflexives drop the -s: sentémonos, vámonos.

To propose a joint action, use the nosotros subjunctive: hablemos de otra cosa, empecemos. In speech, vamos a + infinitive is an equally common alternative (vamos a comer = 'let's eat').

Ir is the exception: affirmative 'let's go' is vamos, but negative reverts to the subjunctive: no vayamos.

With the reflexive pronoun nos, the final -s drops before attaching: sentemos + nos → sentémonos; vamos + nos → vámonos. The written accent preserves the original stress.

## Examples
- Hablemos del presupuesto. — Let's talk about the budget.
- Vámonos, ya es tarde. — Let's go, it's late. *(vamos + nos, -s dropped.)*
- No nos adelantemos. — Let's not get ahead of ourselves.
