**Summary.** Paraguay is solidly voseante: vos is the everyday 'you' (vos tenés, vení, mirá), with usted for respect. Tú is essentially absent in speech.

Paraguay is solidly voseante: vos is the everyday second person (vos tenés, vos querés, vení, mirá), with usted reserved for respect and formality. The verb paradigm matches the general voseo in the present and affirmative imperative, and tú is essentially absent in speech.

Voseo here coexists with deep Guaraní bilingualism, which colors rhythm, intonation, and particle use. A newcomer should default to vos with peers and usted with elders and officials.

The forms to internalize are vos sos, tenés, querés in the present and vení, comé, andá in the affirmative imperative; in casual speech the voseo can extend into the subjunctive (que vengás). Vos also combines naturally with the Guaraní particles (vení na vos), so the voseo and the bilingual flavor reinforce each other. Note that tú is taught in textbooks but barely heard.

## Examples
- ¿Vos venís a la fiesta? — Are you coming to the party?
- Mirá, no es así. — Look, it's not like that.
- Vos sos de acá, ¿verdad? Vení na. — You're from here, right? Come on over.
