Explication
Frequency adverbs place an action on a scale from 'always' to 'never': siempre → casi siempre → a menudo / muchas veces → a veces → de vez en cuando → casi nunca → nunca / jamás. Most are short phrases rather than single words.
The negatives nunca and jamás follow the double-negation rule: after the verb they need no (no salgo nunca), but fronted before the verb the no disappears (nunca salgo). Jamás is just an emphatic nunca.
Habitual actions can also be expressed with soler + infinitive ('to usually do'): suelo caminar al trabajo, solíamos ir cada verano. And cada + a time unit gives regular intervals: cada día, cada dos semanas.
